Our Story — Why We Built ToolFlow

It started with a simple frustration: every time we needed to compress an image or merge a PDF, we were forced to upload sensitive files to unfamiliar servers, create accounts we didn't want, or pay for software we'd only use once. As developers, we knew that modern browsers are incredibly powerful — capable of handling image processing, PDF manipulation, and cryptographic operations entirely locally.

So we built ToolFlow. Starting in late 2025, we set out to create a suite of genuinely useful, genuinely free, genuinely private browser-based tools. No paywalls after 3 uses. No "premium" tiers. No file uploads. Just tools that work — instantly, privately, and for free — for freelancers, students, small businesses, legal teams, medical professionals, and everyday users who value their privacy.

Today, ToolFlow offers 20+ free tools covering image compression and conversion, PDF manipulation, text processing, and more — all running entirely in your browser. We are committed to expanding the toolkit while keeping every tool free and private forever.

Our Technical Architecture

Image Processing via HTML5 CanvasImage compression and conversion runs on the HTML5 Canvas 2D context, directly on your CPU. JPEG quality quantization, WebP encoding, and PNG lossless filtering are all performed client-side.

PDF Operations via WebAssembly (pdf-lib)All PDF merging, splitting, rotating, and compression uses the pdf-lib WebAssembly library compiled into our static bundle. Zero backend calls. The XREF table reconstruction and FlateDecode compression happen in your browser tab.

Cryptographic Randomness (CSPRNG)The password generator uses crypto.getRandomValues() — a browser-native cryptographically secure pseudorandom number generator seeded by your operating system kernel. No custom entropy logic.
